Washington, D.C. — Today, the Congressional Black Caucus PAC launched a five-figure digital advertising campaign urging Haitian Americans in New York’s Fourth Congressional District to vote this November in an act of unity against bigoted attacks. It’s a part of the CBCPAC’s cycle-long effort to reach Black voters across the House battlefield where their vote will be decisive in delivering victory. The ad, entitled “Unity” will reach voters online across the district and bring voter’s attention to former President Trump’s remarks referring to Haiti as a “shithole country” and his promotion of bogus claims about Haitian communities in Ohio.

“Every day between now and Election Day, Haitian Americans are going to hear a message of unity from the party of progress, inclusion, and the American dream – that is the Democratic Party, " said CBCPAC Chairman Rep. Gregory Meeks (NY-05). “While Republicans seek to divide our communities by creating wild conspiracies and disrespecting our cultures, Democrats are working hard to make the American dream possible for all.”

Digital Ad: “Unity”:

ANNCR: They want to tear us apart.

SYNC: “why do you want these people from quote all these shithole countries here”

SYNC: “Mr. Trump was referring to African nations and Haiti”

SYNC: Former President Trump’s baseless claims that Haitian immigrants are eating pets.

Demeaning our culture and creating conspiracies that harm our families.

Isn’t our hustle and sweat as good?

Isn’t the American dream for us too?

Vote this November.

Remember, our unity is our strength. L'union fait la force.
